This book combines Croatian language and travel information all in one. It gives a quick history of the country and then breaks down into regions with guides for the major towns, with plenty of pictures and maps.
The language section has grammar and pronunciation explanations that are easy to understand. The dining section is really helpful, with a wide food vocabulary and all the necessary phrases. Eating can be quite a challenge if you don’t know the difference between musaka (moussaka) and mozak (brains)!
I definitely recommend this book for its great intro to the language and detailed information on everything from renting a car to Baroque manors.
